Research: My research uses computational methods to understand how the host immune response manifests within the central nervous system during HIV-associated tuberculous meningitis. Building on my work that identified CNS cytokine signatures associated with patient mortality, I am now applying multi-omic approaches to examine immune activity across CNS compartments. My goal is to define the immune features that distinguish different forms of TB meningitis and to understand how HIV-associated immunosuppression shapes the biology of CNS infection, ultimately to inform strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes.
