Research: My research interests center on understanding how cellular signals and intercellular communication shape adaptive immune responses. I am particularly interested in the role of phosphatidylserine externalization in T cell biology, including how this membrane remodeling event influences T cell effector function, differentiation, and the formation and recall of memory. In parallel, I am interested in how dendritic cells sense and respond to different forms of cell death, and how the nature of the dying cell and environment shapes dendritic cell activation, migration, antigen presentation, and subsequent T cell responses. Together, these projects explore how signals displayed by immune and dying cells are interpreted to determine the magnitude, quality, and persistence of adaptive immunity.
