Research: My research focuses on how different immunotherapeutic interventions can enhance immunity following Plasmodium vaccination. The primary goal of the project is to identify host-targeted strategies that will lead to durable protection against malaria by improving immune memory. Our findings indicate that immunotherapies can enhance resident memory T cell number and function, resulting in increased protection from Plasmodium infection. This work provides mechanistic insight into how to improve malaria vaccination strategies.
